Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between dropping and withdrawing?
Dropping a course during the add/drop period means no record for that course will exist on your transcript.
Withdrawing from a course means a "W" grade will appear on your ISU transcript. W grades do not calculate into the grade point average. It is always wise to discuss course withdrawals with an advisor and Financial Aid.
Can I get a refund if I withdraw from my classes?
Please review ISU's student refund policy, click here
When can I register for spring semester classes?
Please review ISU's registration date information.
Why don't I see a grade for my Early 8 week class on my transcript?
All courses taken during the term post to the official academic record at the end of the full semester session. Early 8 weeks courses will be viewable on your transcript at that time.

What do I need to become an Idaho resident for tuition purposes?
一道本不卡免费高清It depends on your particular situation.
If you are a full-time student, have been a full-time student any time in the previous 12 months, or intend on becoming a full-time student at ISU, the only way to demonstrate that it is your intention to establish residency while attending school is to provide proof of a full-time job in Idaho for the previous 12 months and an Idaho state tax return.
If you have not been attending school or attending on a part-time basis during the previous 12 months, you may provide proof of the full-time job and the Idaho state tax return or five of the following items: Ownership or leasing of a residence in Idaho; registration and payment of Idaho taxes or fees (other than sales or income tax); registration to vote for state-elected officials in Idaho at a general election; holding of an Idaho driver’s license or state-issued identification card; evidence of abandonment of a previous domicile; establishment of accounts with financial institutions in Idaho; or other similar factors indicating intent to be domiciled in Idaho.
